Create this ultimate no-bake peanut butter pretzel bark for a quick, easy, and addictive salty sweet snack. This recipe balances creamy peanut butter, salty pretzels, and rich chocolate for a perfect homemade confection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mini pretzels, lightly crushed
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Fold in the crushed mini pretzels until they are evenly distributed throughout the peanut butter mixture.
  4. Press the peanut butter mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread it into an even layer.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer. Use an offset spatula to spread the chocolate evenly across the top.
  7. If you want extra texture, sprinkle a few extra crushed pretzels or a pinch of sea salt over the wet chocolate layer immediately.
  8. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the bark is completely firm.
  9. Lift the bark out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Break the bark into irregular pieces for serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute semi-sweet chocolate with milk chocolate or white chocolate chips.
  • If you prefer a crunchier peanut butter layer, you can use crunchy peanut butter, but the texture will be less smooth.
  • This recipe works well for quick holiday treats or easy potluck desserts.
