Bake boneless chicken breasts in a rich, creamy garlic parmesan sauce for a simple, flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the garlic parmesan sauce evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top of the sauce.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the sauce is bubbly.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • You can add 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top for extra cheesiness.
  • This recipe works well with chicken thighs instead of breasts.
