Make this easy, no-bake Cranberry Pecan Cheese Ball for your next party. It combines sweet, savory, and tangy flavors and serves as a beautiful centerpiece for any appetizer platter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, finely chopped (for mixing in)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, roughly chopped (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped cranberries, 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until completely blended and uniform.
  3. Place the cheese mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Use the wrap to shape the mixture into a cohesive ball.
  4. Chill the cheese ball in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up. This step makes coating easier.
  5. In a shallow dish, combine the 1 cup of roughly chopped pecans and 1/2 cup of roughly chopped dried cranberries for the coating.
  6. Remove the chilled cheese ball from the plastic wrap. Roll the ball in the pecan and cranberry mixture, pressing gently so the coating adheres evenly to all sides.
  7. Return the coated cheese ball to the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  8. Serve cold with crackers, apple slices, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • You can make this appetizer up to two days ahead of time. Keep it tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator.
  • Toast the pecans lightly in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until fragrant before chopping and using.
  • For a festive look, arrange the cheese ball on a platter surrounded by crackers, grapes, and pear slices.
