Make this easy, no-bake Cookies and Cream Puppy Chow, also known as Oreo Muddy Buddies. This sweet, crunchy snack mix combines Chex cereal, white chocolate, and crushed Oreos for an addictive party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups Chex cereal (Rice or Corn)
  • 1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 (14.3 ounce) package Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the Chex cereal in a very large bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. This usually takes about 1 to 1.5 minutes total.
  3. Stir the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal in the large bowl. Gently stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Place the crushed Oreo cookies into a large zip-top bag. Add the powdered sugar to the bag.
  6. Add the coated cereal mixture to the bag with the powdered sugar and cookies. Seal the bag, leaving some air inside. Shake well until the cereal is completely coated with the powdered sugar and cookie crumbs.
  7. Spread the finished Cookies and Cream Puppy Chow onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set completely.
  8. Break apart any large clumps before serving this easy dessert snack.

Notes

  • For the best coating, crush the Oreos finely, leaving some small chunks for texture.
  • You can use milk chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor profile, but the classic cookies and cream look requires white chocolate.
  • This recipe makes a large batch, perfect for a dessert for a crowd or holiday treat.
