Make this rich, velvety chocolate fondue without the fuss. This foolproof recipe is perfect for parties, romantic nights, or any time you need a quick chocolate fix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (Ghirardelli recommended)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon liqueur (like Grand Marnier or Kahlua)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your dippers: Arrange fruits, marshmallows, pound cake cubes, and pretzels on serving plates.
  2. Combine the heavy cream and milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat until the mixture just begins to simmer around the edges; do not boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the chocolate chips and let them sit, undisturbed, for five minutes to begin melting.
  4. Gently whisk the chocolate and cream mixture until it is completely smooth and velvety.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and the pinch of salt. If using, stir in the liqueur now.
  6. Transfer the chocolate fondue to a small slow cooker or a fondue pot set to low heat to keep it warm for serving.
  7. Serve immediately with your prepared dippers for an indulgent chocolate treat.

Notes

  • For a Crockpot Chocolate Fondue, use the lowest setting and stir every 15 minutes to prevent scorching.
  • If the fondue becomes too thick while serving, whisk in one teaspoon of warm milk at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  • This recipe works well for a Dessert Charcuterie Board setup.
