Make these easy, boozy gummies combining peppermint candy cane flavor with the heat of Fireball whiskey for an adult holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
  • 1/4 cup peppermint extract
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) unflavored gelatin
  • 1 package (6 oz) peppermint flavored gelatin mix
  • Red food coloring (optional)
  • Candy cane pieces, crushed (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Pour the cold water into a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the water and let it bloom for five minutes.
  2. Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not let the mixture boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Whisk in the peppermint flavored gelatin mix until fully dissolved.
  4. Stir in the Fireball Whisky and peppermint extract. Add a few drops of red food coloring if you want a stronger color.
  5. Carefully pour the liquid mixture into silicone candy molds or a shallow, lightly oiled baking dish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least four hours, or until the gummies are firm.
  7. Once set, cut the gummies into small squares if using a dish, or pop them out of the molds.
  8. Roll the finished gummies in crushed candy cane pieces to coat.
  9. Store the finished gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For stronger gummies, reduce the amount of cold water slightly, but do not reduce the alcohol content.
  • If you want a less potent gummy, substitute half of the Fireball with water or clear soda.
  • These are best served chilled and are intended for adult consumption only.
