Make the ultimate easy appetizer with this classic 3-ingredient Bisquick sausage balls recipe. These cheesy, savory bites are perfect for game day, parties, or a quick breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 1/4 cups Bisquick Original Baking Mix

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, and Bisquick baking mix.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch between them.
  5. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

  • You can use spicy sausage instead of regular pork sausage for extra flavor.
  • These sausage balls freeze well. Cool them completely, place them in a freezer-safe bag, and freeze for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat in a 350 degree oven until warm.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as honey mustard or ranch dressing.
